Looks like Falcons are down 39-36 at half tonite. They’ve got to get in some kind of groove, as they seem to be in a funk recently. Still missing last yrs. leading scorer? ](*,)

Just caught up on twitter and decided to tune in down the stretch.

We're in OT, tied at 76.

We're looking for our first MAC win of the season. We didn't get our first MAC win until February 13 last season, and we actually only won 2 MAC games for the whole season (9 games overall).

Need to finish here.

Woah. Absolutely terrible officiating in this OT period.

A Ball State player was fouled down low, then took multiple steps and THEN made a layup, and they gave her continuation. This isn't the NBA - you don't get that in college.

Falcons down 83-80 with 35.9 seconds left.

Our ball after the timeout.

Couldn't get the ball in, then took way too long to foul.

Ball State to the line...misses the first...and the second.

Then we go down to the other end, waste 15 seconds, and miss a layup.

The little stuff like that is what we have to clean up to become an elite program again.

Ball State to the line...makes the first...and the second.

Then we threw the ball away on the ensuing inbounds.

Long way to go before we learn out how to close a game like this. Needed a win and quite frankly couldn't do it.

It was a hard fought game, and a valiant effort, but we still seem to be quite a bit away from being able to close out a game in the clutch.

It'll come.

Was surprised to see several younger players enter the game at “ crunch time”. Then proceeded to a turnover/ foul.
But looking at minutes from starters perhaps explained it. They might have had little left in tank so to speak. Shows lack of depth, at least experienced depth right now.

Little-played Glowniak comes in to give the Falcons a much needed boost of aggression underneath, as Perry struggles against physical players her own size. The lopsided officiating was the worst I’ve seen in years. I couldn’t understand why Coach Fralick had freshman Olivia Trice inbounding the ball at the end, and throwing it right to a BSU player. Parker played her heart out in the second half, but couldn’t put up points in the first half. We cannot win if we cannot stop the other team from scoring. Again, we shoot ourselves in the foot. We have a lot of talent on this team, but talent is no good until it’s refined. Our coaching staff needs to work with each and every player on this roster, and convert these young women from good players into great players, progressively sharpening their basketball fundamentals. I’m referring to passing, dribbling, rebounding, defense, and free throw shooting. Good players cannot make a great team. The coaches have to bring this out of every player. Maximizing individual skills is the shortest path to building an elite team. We are nowhere close to being as fundamentally sound as we were back in the glory days. I know we’re a young team, but that’s when we’re the most teachable.
